Bushfire brigade volunteers play a significant and vital role in helping to ensure their local communities are safe. Volunteer firefighters are trained and equipped to carry out a range of activities including:

  • Emergency response to bush and scrub fires.
  • Undertaking local fire prevention activities with the community.
  • Supporting other emergency service agencies as required.
  • Community education and engagement.

Truck drivers need a Medium Rigid (MR) license. Four-wheel drive experience is desired but not necessary as training will be provided.
