As an orginisation the Historic Ketch Falie requires a committee to maintain the orginisation and require a succession plan of recruitment to go forward into the future.

The role of a board or committee is one of governance. This includes:

• Setting the strategic plan and direction of the organization
• Setting the annual budget
• Approving major expenditure
• Appointing and reviewing the performance of the Committee Members
• Support and mentor the Committee Members
• Risk oversight.
• Meeting regularly in accordance with the Constitution
• Executing legal and financial documents on behalf of the organization
