Geraldton PCYC is looking for a Youth Mentor for their PCYC "Drive to the Future" program, that ensures young drivers are safe and qualified to drive!!

PCYC exists so that disadvantaged children and young people at risk, across WA, have a safe place to go somewhere they can feel at home, make friends and do things that young people should do. With a vision & purpose of changing young people's lives, we are all about empowering young people to reach their full potential and for our centres to be thriving and welcoming hubs within their respective communities.

As a Youth Mentor, you will be assisting young people by providing supervised driving hours within the PCYC Vehicle. You need to have held a driver's license for 4 years and should be able to drive automatic cars.

Requirements:

  • Be 21 years and above to apply for this position.
  • Able to communicate effectively with young people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Passionate about re-engaging young people.
  • Possess or willing to obtain a National Police Clearance Certificate.
  • Possess or willing to obtain a Working with Children's Check.
  • Possess a driver's license for 4 years.

Are you free on any given day between Monday to Friday, either mornings, or afternoon?

While it would be ideal if you can commit long term, we are happy to also take volunteers who can assist on short term basis or one off basis for a few hours.
