Blue Gum Montessori School (BGMS) is looking for Directors to join its Board for a term of two years.
The Board is responsible for the governance of the school, including ensuring the quality of educational programs, adherence to legislative requirements, policies and regulations and setting strategic direction and vision for the school.
Examples of some of the skills that Board Members can contribute are as follows: • Corporate Governance • Financial Oversight • Risk Management • Strategic Planning • Early Childhood/Primary Education • Quality & Audit • Policy Development • Employment and Industrial Relations • Professional Business Leadership • Marketing and Communications • Law / Legal Knowledge • Project Management (Construction)
Key Tasks
Attend Board Meetings monthly and also participate in sub-committee work in your area of interest or expertise.
Remuneration
Board Officer Holders - Chair, Treasurer, and Secretary, are renumerated $2,800; 2000; and $1,250 p.a. respectively; and Board Standing Committee Chairs may also receive $650 p.a. remuneration.
