About the Role

This is a volunteer role based in Melbourne. Successful applicants should allocate 4 hours per week leading up to the event and the week of the event allocate 10 hours as well as the 4 hours for the event itself.The Program runs 3 events for the year with 2 events left for the remainder of 2024.

A Program lead sets and implements the strategy, approach and direction for engaging their target audience to register and participate in the WHIT program. This includes community outreach for program awareness, social media promotion, drives and campaigns, helping to organise and run events, supporting the participant (sponsor and speakers) through the program to encourage them to actively participate, capturing feedback on the program, and more.

The Program Lead is encouraged to build and lead a team the team of volunteers.

Volunteer Duties & Responsibilities

Develop the strategy for each event in conjunction with the WHIT volunteer. Manage budget Manage reporting to the COO Actively promote the program on social media, within the industry and your own network. Build and maintain relationships and actively seek feedback from participants (sponsors/attendees/speakers) to gain insights to improve the program.
Work with Social Media team to draft content. Develop and ensure adherence to scheduling and track output, providing timely updates if necessary. Organise and maintain SharePoint folders. Manage shared mailbox and respond to messages professionally. Run team meetings as per an agreed schedule that you will put in palce.
