Volunteer assisted Transport duties include:

• To provide a safe and comfortable transport service for clients attending their appointments, or transport upon discharge • Safely transport clients to appointments on time • To work cooperatively with staff and other volunteers • Wear a supplied uniform and Security Identification badge at all times when undertaking Epworth duties. • Notify your direct supervisor if unavailable to work rostered shifts • Before each trip, collect keys, vehicle and mobile telephone from designated area • At the end of each trip refuel the vehicle, return vehicle to designated area, complete logbook details and report any difficulties or repair/ maintenance issues to your direct supervisor. • At all times ensure the vehicle mobile telephone is switched on, is contactable at all times and is safely secured within the vehicle. • Assist clients with seating adjustments, seat belts. • Respect the privacy and confidentiality of clients. • Immediately inform your direct supervisor if you develop any health condition which may affect your capacity for safe driving. • If available after morning shift, chat to patients receiving dialysis, offer tea / coffee
