Treasurer

The People Place is seeking a Treasurer to oversee bookkeeping and to assist with financial operations of local dedicated and busy Neighbourhood House. Working in a fun team environment. Duties are variable and negotiable based on availability, skills set, interests and experience. Tasks may include: • Provide overall guidance and advice to the Board, • Personally attend monthly committee meetings, prepare monthly financial reports. This position would suit someone with a business, banking or accountancy background. Experience with small business, or not for profits would allow the Treasurer to be able to see the bigger picture. This overview would be of enormous benefit to the Board in future planning.
