Volunteers required for friendly visits to elderly in Ipswich area (ACVVS)

MiCare are looking for volunteers that can share a smile and companionship during weekly friendly visits to isolated and lonely elderly people in the wider Ipswich area. Volunteering brings fun and fulfilment to your life and makes a huge difference to those in the community seeking companionship.

We ask volunteers to commit to weekly visits for at least 6 months, however this is an ongoing role and we hope to support your friendship for as long as possible.

Volunteers receive training, orientation, ongoing support, travel reimbursement and invitations to meetings together with other visiting volunteers.

This program is part of the Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme (ACVVS) - an Australian Government initiative.
