Choir Buddy - Upbeat Arts Choir programs
Upbeat Arts Ltd
Is it possible to sing and help people at the same time? Yes - with an Upbeat Arts choir program it is!
If you love to sing and can hold a tune - this is a unique opportunity to give back to your community. You'll be doing something you love, whilst helping others to learn and socialise. Vocal experience or singing in a choir is a definite advantage.
You’d become part of the choir and be on hand to offer support, by working with the members in a group setting. You might help members to find their note or simply chat with them during the breaks.
This is a support role, as the conductor is fully responsible for the content and direction of each rehearsal.
Our programs are primarily for adults with a mental health diagnosis, so if you happen to have experience working in the Mental Health sector - that would be a distinct advantage and you might be eligible to apply to be a ‘Health Buddy’. Advertised separately.
The objectives of this role:
- To support and assist members, as directed, without encroaching on their privacy
- To help member musically
- To support and assist staff with routine work performed on a weekly basis and
participate in special projects, depending on skills, interest and availability
If this all sounds like you…....Then we'd love to hear from you!
And in return - by volunteering with Upbeat Arts you'll receive ....
- A sense of accomplishment and satisfaction in assisting your community in a fun musical environment
- Plenty of thanks from our members and from Upbeat Arts!
