Facilitator: Upstander Educational Program

As a Facilitator you will deliver Upstander workshops to classrooms of students including guiding students through the digital resources, group activities and discussions. Facilitators equip students with practical and safe Upstander tools and inspire them to become Upstanders. The purpose of these workshops is to:

• Help students explore their personal experiences, attitudes and behaviour and
• To empower them to become effective Upstanders when encountering situations of racism, prejudice, bullying or discrimination Courage to Care offers a clear and robust training process to assist volunteers become accredited for program delivery. Beyond the formal training modules, the hands-on work with mentors is a significant component of the training journey with Buddies and Lead facilitators assigned to all new volunteers. The training process:
• Supports trainees throughout the process so each trainee knows what to expect at each stage and
• Helps each facilitator develop competence and confidence engendering a sense of pride in our programs and what they do.
