This rewarding role as our Cafe and Museum Volunteer gives you hands-on experience across hospitality, retail and visitor services while supporting a unique local railway heritage attraction.

What you'll be doing

• Helping to prepare and serve light lunches, refreshments, teas and coffees (including toasted sandwiches and scones with jam and cream).
• Providing friendly customer service to café and museum visitors.
• Cash handling and operating the point-of-sale (POS) till for souvenir sales and cafe purchases.
• Assisting visitors with museum enquiries and displays.
• Occasionally helping to guide group visits and tours of up to 30 people.
• Working collaboratively with a small volunteer team across café and museum operations.
