Based in Albert Park, we work across Melbourne’s diverse communities to create meaningful community engagement through visual and performing arts.
About the Role We are looking for a passionate and organised Secretary – Board Member, to support our volunteer engagement and people coordination activities. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, building community connections, and contributing to a purpose-driven organisation in the arts and community sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the Chair’s schedule, assisting to coordinate meeting schedules and provide administrative support to the Chair.
- Act as a key communication liaison between the Chair, committee members, volunteers, and external stakeholders.
- Assist with planning and coordinating events, community programs, and fundraising activities.
- Maintain accurate records of meetings, decisions, correspondence, and governance documentation.
- Support the Chair with special projects, initiatives, and follow-up actions.
- Monitor timelines, track progress, and assist in ensuring key deliverables are met.
- Conduct research and gather information to support organisational initiatives, grants, and policy development.
- Assist in maintaining organised and accessible committee records and documentation.
About You
- Experience in administrative and leadership roles
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Enjoys working with people and community initiatives
- Passion for arts, inclusion, and community wellbeing
- Experience running or involved in the management of an organisation is desirable
