About Us:

Mission to Seafarers Sydney is a non-for-profit organisation committed to supporting the well-being of seafarers visiting our port. We offer a range of services and programs to help seafarers during their time in Sydney.

Position Overview:

We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable volunteers to join our team as Mission Bus Drivers. This role is essential for transporting seafarers to and from the port, ensuring they have access to our services and support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely drive the Mission bus to transport seafarers between the port and our facilities.

• Ensure the bus is clean and well-maintained.

• Assist seafarers with boarding and disembarking the bus as needed.

• Provide friendly and helpful information to seafarers about our services.

• Maintain accurate records of trips and report any issues with the vehicle.

Requirements:

• Valid Driver's License and a clean driving record. (LR Licence support will be provided for appropriate candidate(s))

• Comfortable driving a 12- seater to 24-seater bus and transporting passengers.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to speak another language is a bonus.

• Reliable, punctual, and responsible.

• Ability to work independently and follow schedules as and when necessary.

• Previous experience in a similar role is a plus but not required.

• Willingness to undergo a background check.
