Rewarding role as a Fundraising Officer!
Advertised by Volunteer for KnoxAs a fundraising officer, you will assist with increasing Chinese Association of Victoria (CAV) youth’s access to funds by creating plans and executing initiatives to tap into the seven pillars of fundraising, which include grant writing, requesting donations, crowd raising, increasing membership, budgeting for our events, selling products and services and obtaining sponsorship.
You will be communicating and developing relationships with relevant stakeholders who can increase funds available for CAV. Our aim is to increase funds available to run activities and projects that have a significant impact on the wider community.

This includes identifying sources of funding, preparing effective strategies to obtain funds, persuasive communication, grant writing, developing strong relationships with businesses, Government departments and politicians. You will have access to successful professionals and business leaders who provide career advice, mentoring and the opportunity to grow your professional network. Provided you do a good job, you will receive a certificate and character reference that can be used for employment and academic purposes.
Location: Around Melbourne or at CAV campus at Wantirna.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Expand CAV’s funds by executing plans that cover the seven pillars of fundraising including grant writing, generating donations and crowd raising, developing products and services and finding sponsorship opportunities. Work with the committee to ensure events have adequate funds to be successful. Communicate with various businesses, organisations and individuals to increase CAV’s availability to funds.
