Volunteers are asked to commit to weekly social visits and provide companionship to clients. Good communication skills in Spanish and the ability to listen are essential. Visits could include: chatting, catching up on the news, games, craft, reading a book or newspaper. Visits may also involve some gentle hand pampering/massage. Applicants should also enjoy the company of elderly people, have some understanding of the aging process and possess a good sense of boundaries and confidentiality.
