1:1 Support Volunteer

1:1 Match Volunteers work directly with children with a disability and their families in their homes and community by providing companionship and supervision and supporting the young person to feel confident and included. Responsibilities encompass:

1. Offering direct support to individuals with disabilities, both in home and community environments, with the goal of promoting their well-being, fostering social relationships, and enhancing community engagement to support people to reach their full potential.
2. Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of children and young people in your care.
3. Cultivating positive and friendly relationships with participants, their families, informal support networks, staff, and community organisations.
4. Maintaining clear, responsive, and professional communication with all relevant parties involved in the support process.
