Our Cart Crew distributes the following items to children and their families:

Snacks (biscuits, tuna and crackers, popcorn, muesli bars, shelf-ready microwave meals, etc) Boredom busters (activity/colouring in books, toys, magazines, reading books) Personal hygiene essentials

Volunteers will be critical to the success of the Cart and will help stock the cart, deliver the items, connect with sick children and their families and provide general well-being checks (no medical training is required).

We need you to:

Be reliable and trustworthy
Be able to obtain a Ochre card (Working with Children Clearance) and complete a National Criminal Check
Maintain necessary immunisation status in line with NT Health Policy
Complete an induction and introductory shift

Regular - less than 6 months

Training

The successful applicant would be required to complete our volunteer induction, with all other training provided on the job.

Time required

The Hospitality Cart will operate daily from 10am-12pm and on weekends from 2-4pm also. We are seeking volunteers that are able to give their time for shifts on a weekly, fortnightly or monthly basis.

Reimbursement

A Working with Children check is required. If you do not already have an Ochre card we can assist you in applying for one. All other requirements will be listed once applied.

Requirements

National Police Certificate Working with Children Check is required, if you do not already have a Working with Children Check (Ochre Card) we can assist you in applying for one. All other requirements will be listed once applied.
