Bring Adventure and Connection: Volunteer for Bus Outings on Fridays! Do you enjoy organising activities and helping others experience new things? We’re seeking enthusiastic volunteers to assist with our Bus Outings program, where you'll bring excitement and connection to elderly residents in aged care homes.
What You’ll Do:
- Assist with organising and running bus outings
- Help ensure residents are safely onboard and have a great experience
- Support residents during outings, making sure they are comfortable and engaged
- Foster a friendly and enjoyable atmosphere throughout the trip
Why Volunteer? Bus outings are a wonderful way to combat loneliness and provide enriching experiences for elderly residents. By volunteering just a few hours each month, you'll help create memorable adventures that enhance their well-being and bring joy to their lives.
Program Details:
- Commitment: Weekly bus outings take place for a few hours on Fridays. If you could help out weekly or fortnightly with one trip or the other, that would be a tremendous help.
- Requirements: Must be over 18, be willing to undergo a NDIS or a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (NCCHC) (provided and paid for) and be consistently available.
We’re Looking For:
- Volunteers who are enthusiastic about supporting outings
- Individuals with good communication skills and a friendly demeanor
- Reliable and punctual volunteers who can create a positive and engaging environment
