Logo for Wingecarribee Shire Council

The Wingecarribee Shire is fortunate to have a diverse number of ecological communities and is considered a biodiversity hotspot, with many iconic species including koalas, platypus, glossy-black cockatoos and Mittagong geebung.

Bushcare and Rivercare volunteers form a vital component of our community's efforts to protect and restore those natural areas. Wingecarribee Bushcare and Rivercare is comprised of community volunteers and Council environment teams who work together to restore natural areas on Council owned or managed land.

Each month we run around thirteen Bushcare Rivercare workbees across the Wingecarribee Shire, including two at our nursery in Moss vale. Each session runs from 9am to 12pm with morning tea break around 10.30. All equipment will be supplied to volunteers, along with the skills needed to perform tasks. Become involved and meet like-minded people in our community.

Once registered each month an email will be sent to you with the dates and locations of workbees you can choose which ones you would like to attend.
