Operation Sunshine WA is a 100% volunteer run Perth based charity supporting women, children, young people, and families impacted by violence and abuse or crisis across Western Australia. We provide practical support to people displaced by family and domestic violence, entering out of home care, or at risk of/experiencing homelessness through our various initiatives.
Our operations are based in Maddington, however the elements of this role would be undertaken online or on site when conducting in person visits to community groups.
The role We are looking for a friendly and confident individual to coordinate engagement and connect our organisation with potential support opportunities within the community. Establishing and maintaining relationships, and providing presentations to various stakeholders on programs such as drop point donations, schools, child care centres, and community groups running donation drives, and other community support.
This position requires face-to-face/in person engagement. The ideal candidate for this volunteer role would have the flexibility to be available for engagement activities during business hours.
**Key duties: ** • presenting to community, workplaces, and school groups to promote Operation Sunshine WA and related initiatives.
- liaising with community groups to promote potential support opportunities
• liaising with donation drop points to ensure ongoing suitability • Keeping up to date contact lists for all stakeholders • Participation in 6 - 8 weekly committee meetings
