One-on-One Friendly Visitor – Mawson Lakes

Make a difference to the day of an older person with lively conversation and a friendly visit. Helping Hand Mawson Lakes is seeking volunteers who love a good chat! A conversation can make the difference to someone’s day, and we are looking for people who are interested in friendly visits and one-on-one conversations with residents.
You will be supporting older people to socialise and be part of a comfortable and welcoming home environment. Ideally suited for someone who has good communication skills and can easily engage in conversation. All our homes are committed to COVID-19 safety protocols.

Requirement: Empathy, understanding and awareness of the needs of people with disabilities, dementia and/or ageing issues or willingness to learn.
