Social Companion

Can you make a difference to a resident asking for more social interaction? Amana Living could be the place for you! We are looking for volunteers to visit every week with our lovely residents for a friendly, social chat. Only an hour or two a week and you can visit one resident or a couple depending on your time. Amana Living volunteers work alongside the allied health team. For one-on-one visits you can be involved in activities like chatting together, board games, reading magazines, newspapers, reading or discussing books, simple art and craft, listening to music, watching movies and if you have a hidden talent like chess, knitting or gardening please let us know. Smiling and laughing are contagious, make a difference in someones life today. Our team will talk to you about your interests and hobbies and find a resident who we can match you to for regular visits.
