One-on-One Friendly Visitor – Whyalla for Helping Hand Yeltana

Helping Hand Yeltana in Whyalla is seeking volunteers who love a good chat! A conversation can make the difference to someone’s day, and we are looking for people who are interested in friendly visits and one-on-one conversations with residents.

Ideally suited for someone who has good communication skills and can easily engage in conversation, you will be supporting older people to socialise and be part of a comfortable and welcoming home environment.

Requirements: Empathy, understanding and awareness of the needs of people with disabilities, dementia and/or ageing issues or willingness to learn.
