- Visit veterans and their partners one-on-one for friendly chats
- Opportunity to give back to those who have served
- No experience required, just your kindness and ability to listen and chat to people from all walks of life
- This is an ongoing role and we are looking for long-term volunteers
- Provide regular visits to one aged care facility, and we will try and match you with one close to where you live
- Build positive relationships with the residential aged care staff and residents
- Participate in monthly volunteer meetings and receive support from your fellow Home & Hospital Visitation Team members
- We will help you to complete National Police Check and Working With Children Check at no cost to you.
- Please note that some aged care facilities require their own additional Checks and proof of vaccination
- Access to Employee Assistance Program for your own wellbeing
- We will provide you with an induction
- Opportunities for optional training are offered from time to time, e.g. Mental Health First Aid Certificate
