  • Meet new people and become part of a welcoming volunteer community.
  • Work alongside experienced Volunteer Services staff in a supportive environment.
  • Experience the satisfaction of knowing your work helps volunteers deliver compassionate care across the hospital.

You'll provide administrative and reception support to the Volunteer Services Coordinators, helping keep the office organised, welcoming and running efficiently. As one of the first points of contact for volunteers, visitors and staff, you'll help create a positive experience while supporting the important work of our volunteer program.

  • Welcome visitors, volunteers and staff with a friendly and professional approach.
  • Answer telephone enquiries and direct calls appropriately.
  • Monitor email enquiries and assist with general office communications.
  • Perform data entry, photocopying, filing and document preparation.
  • Maintain accurate records and assist with general administrative tasks.
  • Keep office areas organised and well stocked, including stationery and tea room supplies.
  • Offer refreshments to people attending appointments with Volunteer Services Coordinators.
  • Provide general office support as directed by the coordinators.

We're looking for someone who is:

  • Friendly, approachable and enjoys helping others.
  • Well organised with good attention to detail.
  • Comfortable using computers and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Confident communicating by phone, email and in person.
  • Able to work independently while contributing positively to a team.
  • Flexible, reliable and willing to learn.
  • Patient, respectful and able to relate to people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Comfortable working across both Lyell McEwin and Modbury Hospitals when required.
