Key Responsibilities

  • Support the day-to-day operations of the State Emergency Service.
  • Assist with preparedness, response and recovery activities across the district.

Operational Roles

  • Storm and cyclone damage operations (e.g. tarping, temporary repairs, working at heights, pumping, sandbagging).
  • Land search and rescue support.
  • Chainsaw and debris clearance (once trained).
  • Vertical rescue and access support (once trained).
  • Transport, logistics and equipment management.

Support Roles

  • Communications and radio operations.
  • Administration and records support.
  • Public information and social media assistance.
  • Recruitment, welfare and general support duties.
