Coordinator of Volunteers

Denmark Arts is a small but active, not for profit community arts organisation, that relies on volunteers to work with its small team of staff to deliver community programs and events.

The coordination of volunteers role, which can be negotiated, primarily involves:
-Encouraging members to volunteer for activities and events -Conducting inductions for new volunteers -Contributing to an established volunteer database which assists in arranging teams to meet organisational needs and activities
-Organising rosters for our volunteers.

This role would provide the opportunity for the holder to be actively involved in a range of creative activities and events in our local community.

Ideally, the Coordinator would :

• be able to work well within a small team as well as independently and proactively when needed
• be able to provide support and encouragement to volunteers
• be able to work inclusively with individuals from all backgrounds
• have good communication skills
• have an interest in the arts and the local community
• have some basic computer use skills.
