Community Pantry Assistant required

Glen Park Community Centre Inc. works to create a strong, connected community - free from poverty, isolation and injustice, where every person has access to food, housing, social and economic participation, lifelong learning and support.

Glen Park Community Centre are seeking volunteers to assist with The Community Pantry. The Community Pantry was designed to provide relief to people experiencing extreme hardships such as homelessness and food insecurity, so that vulnerable community members have access to food and material aid when they need it most. This role will include distributing essential material aid to our Community Pantry members, as well as promoting social inclusion.

Volunteer duties include:

*Setting up the community pantry *Stocking up the community pantry *Assisting community pantry supervisor to distribute food relief/material aid *Record simple data *Pack up the community pantry *Converse with members and promote social inclusion
