Volunteer Opportunity: Patient Support Role
Are you looking for a meaningful way to make a difference in the lives of others? We are seeking compassionate and reliable volunteers to support patients in a hospital ward setting.
Role Overview -Assist patients with mealtime support, walking, and light mobility assistance. -Engage patients in conversations and reminiscing activities to brighten their day. -Comprehensive training provided, including understanding the needs of people living with dementia and delirium, and safe use of wheelchairs.
What We’re Looking For -Excellent communication and basic written skills. -Confidence in engaging with nursing staff as part of a hospital ward team. -Ability to assist with patient walking and mobility. -Individuals aged between 18 and 80 years.
Shifts & Commitment
-Flexible shift times: 3–4 hours per shift. -Commitment to one shift per week or fortnight. -Available Monday to Sunday.
