  • Greet and welcome visitors and patients to the Royal Adelaide Hospital.
  • Guide or provide directions to visitors and patients to assist them in getting to their destination or outpatient clinic.
  • Provide information to visitors on hospital and local amenities such as shops, cafeterias, rest rooms, taxis, car parking and public transport.
  • Providing patients with practical support during the waiting period and, if requested, during treatment.
  • Offering comfort to family and friends of patients.
  • Assist with general activities and tasks that support the Volunteer Services Unit.

Special requirements:

  • Have the physical ability to undertake the duties in a safe manner.
  • Complete a clear and current criminal screening check.
  • Comply with Work Health & Safety and Infection Control requirements.
  • Comply with SA Health Immunisation guidelines including annual flu vaccinations.
  • Complete all annual mandatory training requirements.
