Craft and Connections Volunteer

Do you enjoy crafts, knitting, gardening, cooking, or simply bringing people together over a shared activity?
Caroline House, a Hobart City Mission program supporting older women, is looking for a friendly and reliable volunteer to help create a welcoming and engaging social afternoon.
This role is perfect for someone who enjoys connecting with others, sharing their skills and hobbies, and helping build a sense of community. Whether it's leading a simple craft project, sharing a favourite recipe, tending to the garden, or enjoying a walk and a chat, your time and encouragement can make a real difference.
Activities may include:
- Crafts and creative projects
- Knitting, crochet or sewing
- Simple cooking or baking activities
- Walking and conversation
- Encouraging friendship and social connection
We're looking for someone who:
- Enjoys spending time with others
- Is patient, warm and a good listener
- Can commit to volunteering on a Wednesday afternoon shared roster
- Is interested in building ongoing relationships with residents
