Do you enjoy crafts, knitting, gardening, cooking, or simply bringing people together over a shared activity?

Caroline House, a Hobart City Mission program supporting older women, is looking for a friendly and reliable volunteer to help create a welcoming and engaging social afternoon.

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys connecting with others, sharing their skills and hobbies, and helping build a sense of community. Whether it's leading a simple craft project, sharing a favourite recipe, tending to the garden, or enjoying a walk and a chat, your time and encouragement can make a real difference.

Activities may include:

  • Crafts and creative projects
  • Knitting, crochet or sewing
  • Simple cooking or baking activities
  • Walking and conversation
  • Encouraging friendship and social connection

We're looking for someone who:

  • Enjoys spending time with others
  • Is patient, warm and a good listener
  • Can commit to volunteering on a Wednesday afternoon shared roster
  • Is interested in building ongoing relationships with residents

If you'd like to share your skills, experience and companionship in a supportive community setting, we'd love to hear from you.
