Lions Club of Werribee: The Lions Club of Werribee, chartered in March 1961, is part of Lions Clubs International and has been serving the local community since its inception. The club actively supports the City of Wyndham by organising community events and fundraising for local charities, welfare, and community groups.

Membership Information: New members are welcome. The club meets on the first Wednesday of each month at the Lions Den, 35 Ballan Road, Werribee, and on the third Wednesday of each month at the Hoppers Club, Pannam Drive, Hoppers Crossing. Meetings commence at 6:30 pm for a 7:00 pm start.

Position description

Volunteers will assist with lawn mowing, garden tidying, and minor maintenance tasks at The Lions Den. Responsibilities include working in a team to ensure the Lions Den is maintained and functional for community events.

Location: 33 Ballan Road, Werribee 3030, VIC

Time required: 2–3 hours fortnightly; flexible scheduling to suit the volunteer’s availability

Commitment required: Ongoing for 6 months, with an option to extend if the volunteer is interested

Other requirements: Volunteers should wear suitable clothing, gloves, sunscreen, and a hat for outdoor tasks
