Help build a more connected and inclusive community Access Health and Community is seeking compassionate and community-minded Volunteer Community Connectors to support adults living in Doncaster, Doncaster East, Bulleen, Lower Templestowe and surrounding areas through our Access to Community (A2C) Program.

The A2C Program supports people aged 18 years and over to strengthen their social connections, participate in local activities, and build healthier, more connected lives. As a Volunteer Community Connector, you will play an important role in helping people feel welcome, included and engaged within their local community.

What you'll do As a Volunteer Community Connector, you will:

  • Support people to identify and access social, recreational or physical activity groups in their community
  • Encourage and empower individuals to achieve their personal goals and build confidence
  • Help foster meaningful social connections and reduce social isolation
  • Connect people with local opportunities that promote belonging and community participation
  • Provide friendly, one-on-one support tailored to each person's needs

Commitment

  • At least six months program involvement
  • Up to 2 hours per week, depending on the needs of the participant

Multilingual volunteers are strongly encouraged to apply. We particularly welcome applicants who speak Mandarin, Vietnamese, Farsi, or other community languages.
