The Sunshine Harvest Garden is a vibrant community space dedicated to organic, no-dig vegetable growing and environmental sustainability. The organisation welcomes people of all abilities to join its hands-on program, which includes organic no-dig gardening, composting, and worm farming. The garden fosters a sense of community, promotes eco-friendly practices, and supports local biodiversity. The organisation collaborates with volunteer groups at Werribee Park to host engaging events like Family Farm Days, offering fun, educational activities for families. The Sunshine Harvest Garden is committed to cultivating a greener future while sharing the joys of growing and connecting with nature.

Position description:

• Assist with gardening activities, including:
• Seed raising, planting, watering, weeding, harvesting, and composting.
• Maintaining organic no-dig vegetable beds.
• Support fundraising events.
• Help promote the program’s objectives through social media.

Location: Werribee Park Community Farm (Gate 5, K-Road, Werribee South 3030)

Time Required: 3 hours/week, Wednesdays, Fridays or Sundays. 9:30am to 12pm.

Commitment required: Try for one session, then attend when you can.

Other requirements:

As this programme is run on land managed by Parks Victoria, we will assist you with volunteer registration and obtaining a working with children’s check upon completion of your first session. Minors should be accompanied by a responsible adult.
