Do you want to make a real difference in your community?

Our Emergency Relief Program supports individuals and families experiencing financial crisis by providing food parcels, material aid, and a welcoming space where everyone is treated with dignity and respect.

We’re looking for Emergency Relief Team Members to join our friendly, dedicated volunteer team.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Create a warm, supportive and respectful experience for community members.
  • Work alongside a passionate team as part of our community programs.
  • Help with packing and distributing food parcels.
  • Sort, unpack and prepare donated food items for pantry shelves, fridges and freezers.
  • Keep our work environment safe, clean and welcoming.
  • Attend volunteer meetings, training sessions and hands-on learning opportunities, further training provided on needs basis.
  • Maintain confidentiality and report any concerns to the Emergency Relief Coordinator.
  • Support the team with other tasks as needed.

  • A reliable, team-focused approach.
  • A positive, can-do attitude.
  • Commitment to a regular volunteer placement for at least 6 months.
  • Willingness to contribute to a supportive, safe and inclusive workplace.
