This Homemaker role maintains the presentation and tidiness of the venue, to ensure The Hub continues to be a desirable venue for the community to use.

The Hub is looking for a volunteer to assist with keep the centre presentable, tidy and well stocked for our hirers and volunteers. The role involves regularly visiting the centre to check on the status of the spaces. We have regular cleaning conducted, so this role is more about assessing the areas, to be able to alert the appropriate committee members as to whether anything requires attention.

Attending the centre on occasion between bookings to ensure the space is presentable. Checking the kitchen is well stocked with coffee and tea, clean tea-towels, and that the fridge has no unlabelled or out of date items. Removing expired flyers from notice boards and liaising with admin to keep promotional material updated. Performing light tidying and communicating cleaning needs with cleaning staff.

The Hub has a wonderful community network and a great team of volunteers. Our volunteers regularly gather socially, and this is a great opportunity to meet new people and contribute to your community by helping the centre be as inviting as possible.
