Children's Playgroup Volunteer

As a Playgroup Volunteer, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming, safe and enjoyable environment for children and their carers. Your duties are divided into time-based activities to ensure smooth operations throughout each morning shift.

In particular, your duties can include:

• Set up toys and play equipment in designated areas.
• Prepare morning tea for carers.
• Welcome participants by opening the gate and greeting them warmly.
• Collecting fees and creating name tags.
• Engage in play with the children.
• Interact with carers to build a friendly atmosphere.
• Support craft activities and ensure children's safety in all areas.
• Tidy up scattered toys and packing away toys and play equipment at scheduled times.
• Arrange children's tables and clean as needed for morning tea.
• Clean and tidy up tables and chairs as needed, and maintain general cleanliness of the floor area.
• Assist in managing and cleaning the kitchen.
