Volunteers are matched with individuals with similar interests for regular weekly social visits or outings. The program supports individuals who may be feeling isolated and lonely, and the aim is to develop genuine ongoing friendships through your visits. Visits like these are incredibly powerful and can make a difference to someone’s life. Visits may involve any activities that both you and the participant both enjoy, such as chatting over a cup of tea, shared hobbies, going for a walk or out for a local cuppa. ACVVS volunteers help to improve the quality of life by providing companionship and restoring their sense of social connection.
