Cafe Volunteer.

Our small café has quickly become a popular meeting place for residents and their families, as well as a place for staff to purchase some lunch or snacks.

We are seeking 5 or 6 individuals who could assist on a regular basis to serve: hot drinks from an automatic coffee machine, kiosk items and food from a pie warmer. Previous experience working in school/sport canteens would be preferable. A full police check and training will be paid for by Nareen Gardens.

Currently, we need volunteers on Monday mornings (9am-12pm) or on Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday/Friday or Saturday afternoons (12pm-3pm).

We are looking for volunteers with the following skills:

• Ability to follow clear instructions
• Clear and friendly oral communication skills (to effectively serve elderly residents)
• Clear written communication skills (to maintain accurate sales documents)
• Trustworthiness and accuracy with money transactions
• Ability to work as part of a team
