Are you ready to inspire change and help young people move Onwards & Upwards? IBFF is a purpose-driven not-for-profit dedicated to building thriving, resilient communities. Through our mentoring programs, we empower young people and long-term unemployed participants with the tools and support to envision and create a brighter future. We’re calling on compassionate, community-minded volunteers to join our dynamic wellbeing mentoring programs as 1:1 mentors. 🌱 About the Role As a volunteer mentor, you'll be matched one-on-one with a young person or adult participant to support them through one of our transformative mentoring journeys:
- School Program – Onwards & Upwards: 8-week program | 70 minutes per week | Delivered in QLD secondary schools (Years 7–12)
- Employment Readiness – Towards a Brighter Future: 4-week program | 2 hours per week | Supports long-term unemployed adults You’ll work alongside experienced facilitators and fellow mentors to guide participants in building confidence, self-awareness, and connection to community. We provide full training, ongoing support, and a structured program backed by strong values: Love, Hope, Truth, and Community.
