Day Program Volunteer

Supporting clients to participate in the group and/or their chosen recreational activity
• Engage in conversation, help with tasks such as reading text, sorting materials, using resources/equipment • perform sighted guide support to safely navigate the environment if required • respond to questions/requests in person, telephone or email • provide audio description to individuals who require visual translation • coordinate specific programs or tasks • complete administrative tasks such as time/attendance sheets and report to supervisor any information regarding clients as required • be involved in food preparation process including serving and cleaning • be required to attend meetings that assist with planning and information provision • undertake training that is specific to your role
