Help to plant trees in Athelstone, SA! (Next event: July 26)

Conservation Volunteers, in partnership with Chevron Australia and Campbelltown City Council, will be working together to revegetate Athelstone Recreation Reserve and Tom Packer Reserve - two important suburban Reserves within Athelstone.
We will be planting 7,000 native seedlings this year to create Urban Shade Forests in Campbelltown, to help cool our cities, create habitat for native animals and connect the local community. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn all about our environment, while spending the day with like-minded people, working together to create Urban Shade Forests!
We will be running events from May - August 2026.
What will I be doing on the day? All of our events begin with a safety induction and training from a CVA Team Leader.
As part of the day, you will work under the supervision of our friendly team to help plant native species within urban parks and reserves. You may also have the opportunity to take part in other activities like weed removal, litter collection and data collection. Events generally last 2-3 hours and you can sign up for as many events as you like.
What skills or experience do I need? No prior experience is necessary! Our Team Leaders will provide volunteers with safety inductions and training in the activity. A can do attitude and willingness to work with others are all the skills you need to be a Conservation Volunteer.
Generally all are welcome - our events are suitable for most age groups (ages 10 - 85). Children aged 3-14 must be directly supervised by a parent or legal guardian. Some of our sites do have unstable ground and tree planting can require you to bend down frequently, but if you have any concerns about participating, just contact us.
