Logo for Operation Stitches

We are seeking tutors to assist inner-city public housing children in Collingwood with their education - mixed with Christian principles to help build positive life choices. Many of these children are migrants who are behind and in need of tutoring to assist them catch up their peers so that they will enjoy school and learning. The aim is to give them better chance of not dropping out of school early and helping them to excel in their education - gaining meaningful employment opportunities in the future. We offer you an opportunity to join a team of volunteers from all walks of life and ages. Weekly tutoring classes will run during Vic school term 3 during the year - 6pm - 8pm at a Collingwood venue

Tutoring is during Vic school term 3

Evening tutoring on a 1:1 or 1:2 basis with the same child/ren each week. Held 6pm - 8pm on Wednesday evenings

We are looking for a commitment for at least 1 school term period.   Commitment to arrive on time each week of term to these children is strongly emphasised as these young people need consistency to achieve.
