We seek volunteers who would like to encourage residents to attend bingo and then call the game. Our bingo games are fun and bring laughs and smiles to all who attend!

The Bingo volunteer can help residents by:

  • Greeting residents

  • Inviting residents to play bingo

  • Calling bingo

  • Having conversations and lots of fun!

This role is suitable for people who have well developed interpersonal skills, excellent communication skills and display a calm and empathetic manner. Volunteering is a wonderful way to make a difference in the lives of our senior residents while making friends, having fun and learning new skills.

Times are available each Tuesday between 9a.m. and 12 noon.

Our Residential Aged Care Communities are the only ones in Queensland registered with the Eden Alternative™ philosophy of care, which focuses on eliminating loneliness, helplessness and boredom and promoting meaningful relationships and companionship.

All our volunteers follow a COVID-19 safe work plan and provide proof they have received a minimum of one primary COVID-19 vaccination before they are registered in their role. Volunteers will also be required to have a current NDIS Workers Screening Clearance prior to commencement. This can be applied for through Wesley Mission Queensland at no cost to you.
