Discover the heart of Brightwater The Cove at Hug in a Mug Café — a space designed to bring residents, families, staff and the local community together over a cuppa, cake, and good conversation.
Nestled within our residential aged care home in Dudley Park, Hug in a Mug is more than just a café — it’s a vibrant hub of connection and inclusion. As part of our Therapy Activities Program, residents will play an active role in the café’s daily rhythm, helping serve, greet, and connect with the local community.
We’re looking for volunteers to join our café team, on morning per week, between 9:30am and 12:30pm, on a regular rostered basis.
As a volunteer, you’ll: Support the day-to-day running of the café Provide friendly customer service to residents, families, and staff Assist with basic food and drink preparation Follow food safety and hygiene practices Collaborate with residents as they participate in café operations Previous café or retail experience is a bonus — but it’s your warm smile, friendly nature, and team spirit that matter most. Full training is provided.
