Community Centre - All Rounder Volunteer - Thursday

This position will be vital in supporting the overall running of the Community Centre in supporting us to ensure all volunteer roles are fulfilled in some of our key areas of service.

The All-Rounder Volunteer will fulfill the key duties of any of the volunteer roles in the areas of Kitchen work, Dining Room and Op Shop on their allocated day.

This position is available each day Monday to Friday volunteers will be allocated to one day during the week to fulfill this role.

Their duties would be:

• Key duties for kitchen positions include assisting with the washing of dishes, cutlery, pots and pans.  Keeping designated workspaces clean and sanitized. Following all OSH, sanity and health related protocols
• Key duties for Dining Room Assistants include the clearing dishes and crockery and stacking on the dining trolley for transportation to the kitchen.  Disposing of food waste and rubbish in the bins provided. Wiping down tables and assisting guests while they are dining in the centre.
• Key duties for Op Shop Assistants include providing customer service to those who access the shop, Processing cash sales via the point-of-sale register and directing eftpos sales to front reception. Preparing donations for sale and tidying shelves and displays as required.  Keeping the storeroom clean and clutter free
• Follow all OSH, sanity and health related protocols
• Be supportive of other team members

Volunteer Shift Details

• Day: Role is available Thursday
• Time: 8.30am - 3.00pm
• Reimbursement: Volunteers depending on the length of their shift will be provided morning tea and lunch refreshments through our dining hall

Volunteers must be physically capable to complete this job and has the ability to stand for the duration of the volunteer shift.
