Make a Real Difference—Help New Residents Feel at Home in the Southwest!

Busselton International Friendship Inc. is committed to supporting new residents and fostering a strong sense of belonging in the Southwest. As a Community Welcome & Settlement Support Volunteer, you’ll play an important role in helping newcomers feel connected, informed, and welcomed.

We host Welcome Days every two months, offering a friendly introduction to the community, and hold regular bimonthly meetings to connect, share, and support one another.

Volunteer Roles May Include: 🌟 Event Assistance Help organise and run Welcome Days and meetings—set up venues, greet attendees, and assist with activities.

🌍 Community Support Share helpful information about local services, schools, transport, and cultural or recreational opportunities.

🤝 Mentorship & Guidance Offer friendly, informal support to individuals or small groups—helping them with everyday life, paperwork, and local customs.

🎉 Social Connection Help build friendships by introducing newcomers to others and encouraging involvement in community events.

📘 Resource Creation Assist with developing welcome packs, guides, or online resources tailored for new arrivals.

📣 Promotion & Outreach Help spread the word about our events and services via social media, flyers, and local networks.
