When someone is facing homelessness, fleeing family violence, or needing hospital care, their pet may have nowhere to go. That’s where you come in. As a foster carer, you’ll provide a temporary, loving home for a pet while we support their person through crisis.

Key duties: Provide short-term care for a cat or dog in your home Follow a care plan (we provide food, supplies and vet care) Communicate with our team and flag any concerns Transport pets to appointments, or coordinate with our volunteer drivers

Skills & experience: A calm, pet-friendly home Experience with pets (owning one is plenty!) Patience, reliability, and good communication No qualifications needed - just a big heart and some spare time

About us: Pets Of The Homeless is a Melbourne-based charity helping vulnerable people care for their beloved pets during tough times. Our Safe Shelter program keeps best friends together by providing emergency foster care when it's needed most.
