Are you a retired transport driver or someone who simply enjoys driving and meeting new people? Are you looking to make a difference? Westhaven Aged Care Community in Footscray is seeking volunteer drivers to take our vibrant residents on weekly outings around Footscray, its surrounding areas, and even Melbourne City (occasionally).
If you have a passion for driving and enjoy connecting with our older generation, this could be the perfect role for you.
Our residents love to explore new places, and with your skills, you’ll help bring joy to their lives as you drive them to new & exciting destinations. You’ll be joined by another staff member to support you, vehicle is provided.
The Requirements
- A valid full Australian driver’s licence and a clean driving record.
- Previous transport driving experience appreciated but not required. Full training provided (ideal for retired bus, taxi drivers!).
- Availability on Tuesdays between 10am and 12pm for weekly outings (alternating between Williamstown Beach for coffee and Central West Shopping Centre for a spot of shopping!).
