What you'll be doing:

  • Driving: Bringing a high level of driving capability, friendly professionalism and reliability to collecting donated food.

  • Vehicle Care: Drivers are key in ensuring the vehicle is safe and fully operational by regularly checking tyres, fuel levels and monitoring oil and water levels. Diligently ensure vehicle is checked before each shift and rectify any issues before collecting donations, reporting issues and repairs to the Line Manager.

  • Administration: Quantify and provide collection information to the admin office team, filling in the vehicle log book, wear the safety vest, ensuring an identification name badge is worn at all times, as well as communicating with Line Manager regarding any concerns that may arise.

  • Stock Handling: Unload donated food, unpack and stock shelves and fridge/freezer, assemble food packs as required.
